The Battle of the Boroughs Teen Poetry Slam series is back for our 4th year this summer! The winner will win $1,000 and join a talented list of teen poets who won before them: Stephanie Pacheco, Italy Lee, Jayden Antwine.
The competition is open open to teens 13 – 19 years old.
Performances Details:
- Preliminary Rounds: Participants will perform one original poem or an a cappella rap, with a maximum time limit of 3 minutes. The use of props or group poets is not allowed.
- Semifinals: Each performer will present two poems
- Finals: Finalist will perform three poems to compete for the top prizes
2nd Place: $700
3rd Place: $400
4th Place: $250
5th Place: $150
